There are various antivirus available in the market install antivirus and scan your PC frequently. In windows, windows task manager will assist you about the program taking using the maximum amount of your RAM. And also check if your OS is up to date or not frequently keep updating OS when available as older versions have vulnerabilities that slow down your PC

  • Too many start-up and background programs :

The computer runs various programs alongside. Running too many programs won’t harm your PC in anyway. However if your PC takes too much time to start up it sounds like you have low memory or a mechanical hard drive. It can also crash your PC.

Solution

Find which programs are set when you boot your PC. At the top of the task manager go to the start menu that contains options as the application name, status and start up impact.   • Overheating of CPU :
