- Ram or disk drive space running out :
We first need to understand the difference between ram and disk drive space. Ram is a type of temporary storage of your PC, which determines the number count of how many application and device can open and run. So the better your RAM the faster your PC is and hence the more efficiently and smoothly it operates. On the other hand disk drive space is a kind of physical storage type which is the maximum storage a PC is capable of holding. If your computer is our of RAM it will start working less efficiently. In this case when your device runs out of memory(RAM) it prefers the disk drive space to continue it’s operations. But actually the disk drive’s processing speed is much slower than RAM’s processing speed. These system error will hamper the time efficiency and slow down your PC.
Solution
Adding a physical RAM to your PC accordingly to your PC’s limit is recommended. For starters you should clean up your current storage including photos application that are necessarily running within the cache files and empty the trash bean also.
- Malware and virus :
Malware is a set of code or software which are intentionally plant to harm your PC. One of its categories is virus, and virus steals the information and credentials of the user.
Solution
There are various antivirus available in the market install antivirus and scan your PC frequently. In windows, windows task manager will assist you about the program taking using the maximum amount of your RAM. And also check if your OS is up to date or not frequently keep updating OS when available as older versions have vulnerabilities that slow down your PC
- Too many start-up and background programs :
The computer runs various programs alongside. Running too many programs won’t harm your PC in anyway. However if your PC takes too much time to start up it sounds like you have low memory or a mechanical hard drive. It can also crash your PC.
Solution
Find which programs are set when you boot your PC. At the top of the task manager go to the start menu that contains options as the application name, status and start up impact. Select the start up impact column to check which programs are slowing down your PC disable them accordingly. Closing all the programs before the booting process will boost up the booting process.
- Overheating of CPU :
As we know the CPU or control processing unit is the brain of the computer. It is crucial part of every PC and processes all possible inputs and outputs of PC and all kind of software commands. Therefore the More powerful and updated your processor the faster your PC is.
But sometimes due to poor or insufficient overflow of air, lots of dust or non functional fan, the processor does not cool down properly and results causing more heat then usual. It can hi der and also reduce the lifespan of internal elements.
Solution
Clean your PC on regular basis to keep your CPU dust free and prevent excess heat. Also you should check the airflow and cooling system of PC to avoid overheating issue.
- Outdated PC :
In this fast changing world, constant changes are brought in products by companies to adapt to this fast changing economic culture. When a PC is obsolete, it tends to run slow. If you are keep using a PC for more than 5 years it is more of a result to your own mistake then a problem. Not updating software’s timely or keep using same PC without any updation will result in slowing your PC down because your PC is outdated.
Solution
One has to keep up with the updates as I mentioned you must stay updating your PC otherwise there will no option left except changing your PC.
